A Werewolf boy is a Korean movie staring Song Joong Ki known as the lead male on the Kdrama descendants of the sun and Park Bo Young known for her lead role in the recently finished drama Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.

This movie tells a story of an old woman’s past. The single mother of two moves to the country side to help with her oldest daughter Soon Yi’s (Park Bo Young)  lung aliment due to advice from her doctor. Soon Yi discovered a young male teenager (Song Joong Ki)  in there barn who they believed to be an orphan. Soon Yi would help the boy with daily things that people do in everyday lives. Soon Yi and the boy developed a bond and they would trust each other. Chul Soo (werewolf boy) would only respond to Soon Yi’s commands.

Soon Yi and the boy started to develop mutual affection for each other which was developed throughout the plot. Song Joong Ki’s acting skills was very impressive as he had to act like an animal through body language and facial expressions. As complications arise Soon Yi and Chul Soo end up separated for decades. Soon Yi returns as an old woman with her granddaughter and Chul Soo remains the same age. Chul Soo becomes Soon Yi’s  families protector from generation to generation.
This film was really touching that I felt really sad for Soon Yi because she just wanted to be with the werewolf boy and he was on her mind for years. This is sad movie which could also be considered a romance but I would definitely recommend viewers to watch this heartbreaking movie.
